CIA Engaged in Torture

The Economist has an interesting article on the CIA's role in torture. See here. The CIA used pistols and power-drills to threaten detainees. One detainee was told that "interrogators would sexually abuse his female relatives in front of him."

Leave it to a British magazine to report on American war crimes. Where are the New York Times and Wall Street Journal on the topic of CIA-sponsored torture?

Matt, did you even look to see what the New York Times reports? The Times has an entire on-line section under the topic "War Crimes". They have "blog" entries, articles, and the CIA documents on interrogations released two days ago available to read:

http://documents.nytimes.com/c-i-a-reports-on-interrogation-methods#p=1

This is much more substantial than a typical editors' piece you would casually read in an article in the Economist.

You show a confirmation bias and don't do due justice to what you are speaking about when you have already made up your mind.

I did not know about the NYT link. Thank you for providing it.
